About the Baby Alex Foundation
Mission
The Baby Alex Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the neurological health of children. In pursuit of this goal, the Foundation raises funds for grants to individuals and organizations engaged in pediatric brain injury research, to include:
- Brain injury prevention
- Brain injury rehabilitation
- Interventions for cognitive, motor and other neurological impairments
- Patient family and medical staff education
Goals
- To support underfunded research into the causes, preventions and treatments of brain damage in infants.
- To support research into cognitive, occupational and physical therapy for babies and children suffering from brain injuries.
- To use marketing and outreach to raise awareness of the need for such research in the field of pediatric brain injuries.
- To support the efforts to provide improved family-centered care in hospitals for infants and children suffering brain injuries.
- To serve as a public warehouse for research abstracts, book titles, lectures and other sources of information useful to researchers, parents and hospitals.
